WORKSHOPS

Upcoming Opportunities

Online sessions and immersive in-person experiences in Colorado are being thoughtfully prepared for 2026, with details to be announced soon.

Retreat experiences in Colombia, in the Tenjo and Tabio regions, are currently in development for 2027—offering deeper opportunities for connection, reflection, and engagement with the work in a more grounded and experiential setting.

Wisdom of the Jabas
- Upcoming Workshops

Tentative Start: October

Beginning in October (tentative), the Wisdom of the Jabas workshop series will offer a space to connect with the living ancestral knowledge of the Wiwa elder women.

These sessions are not traditional classes, but guided experiences of listening, reflection, and connection, where teachings are shared through voice, weaving, water, birth, sound, and the living relationship with nature.

Workshop Themes

The series will include six core sessions:

  • The Voice of the Jaba: Honoring the origins, authority, and living role of the elder women as keepers and transmitters of ancestral wisdom.

  • Water as Source of Life: Exploring water as life, memory, nourishment, and spiritual relationship within Wiwa understanding.

  • Weaving as Memory and Knowledge: Understanding weaving as a sacred practice of teaching, continuity, identity, and ancestral memory.

  • Birth and Care: Rituals to Bring Life: Reflecting on the sacred responsibilities surrounding birth, maternal care, protection, and the continuity of life.

  • Sound, Creation, and Ancestral Awareness: Introducing Shikakuwi as a pathway into sound, vibration, creation, and ancestral consciousness.

  • Harmony with Nature and Guardianship of Life: Deepening the relationship between human life, nature, spiritual balance, and the responsibility to care for the living world.

A Respectful Bridge

Sessions are made accessible through respectful translation and facilitation by Anna Gallman, Managing Director of Teyuna Foundation, while preserving the integrity of the Jabas' voice, language, and wisdom.

Open to all who feel called to deepen their relationship with life, nature, community, and inner awareness.

Closing Reflection

This is not knowledge to consume - it is wisdom to remember.
